Living in an informal settlement
Yet another day in my shack. How great. You can already here that I live in a informal settlement, yes you may say that living in shack is a piece of trash, but it’s my home.
I wake up on the floor, still dark outside. I start to get ready to go to school, I get dressed I expected that we would have breakfast this time, but no we didn’t sadly. I said goodbye to my mom as I walked through the door, the sun started to rise as I was on my way to school, it felt nice to have the sun shining on my face. The way to school is kinda far from my house, on my way I had to cross a river from what looks like it was left from the flood we had a week ago. It seemed I wasn’t the only one crossing this river. There were other children, also small children. They seemed to be struggling to get to the other side of the river, but I had no time to help them.
I really wish our school was a bit more secured , because we had another brake in.
The rest of our electronics were stolen, not like we needed them or anything. There is at least 60 people in our class, it was like a jungle in there. All the kids were shouting and screaming, yet the teacher was sleeping doing nothing about. I thought the teacher would be fired by now, I guess not.
If you stand at the entrance it look like a whole wave of kids coming at you. It’s scary. I would say my school is the worst thing in my life, another thing that happened at schools was that most of the chairs were gone, sadly I had to sit on the floor. The floor. It was cold and sticky, I was disgusted.
On my way home I went to got to the shops to see if I could get anything. The sad thing is that we only have ONE shop out of THREE THOUSAND PEOPLE. Oh wait, I don’t even have money.
Well, that’s all I can say for now. See ya later.
